Squash, Sugar Snap Peas, Broccoli…

That was a nice rain over the weekend, especially for the orchard, which is really getting established. We’ll be spending a lot of our time in the next few weeks getting weeds and mulching under control in the orchard and berry plantings.

That is, when we’re not keeping up with harvest, which gets to be a bigger job each week.  Lots of squash are around now, and we’ll have the last of the sugar snap peas and broccoli.  We’ll continue with beets, lettuce, cooking greens, scallions and maybe have a surprise or two.

I will have boxes ready on TUESDAY this week by early afternoon, due to some scheduling conflicts. Let me know if this is a problem for anyone and I can hold the box in my cooler.
